Older Adults & Seniors Program

Aimed at adults aged 55+ this program offers a selection of activities to choose from each week. Activities are designed to create social connections, keep people active, promote life long learning and have fun. Some, like Games and Spanish Language lessons happen on a regular schedule. Other activities change from month to month based on what people are looking for. Staff can also make check-in calls and provide referrals to other services.

Some program fees apply and subsidies are available – please speak to the Seniors Coordinator for details.

Yoga

Meet Gabriella as she introduces our new Seniors Yoga Program!

This gentle yoga session is offered in the Narthex Space at the Neighbourhood Food Hub. Cost: $30/8 classes.

Enjoy music, movement, and community with instructor Yvonne. Beginner and Intermediate levels are offered.

Spanish Language Classes

With two levels (Beginner & Intermediate) challenge yourself to learn some Spanish! Currently being offered virtually. Cost: $30/8 classes

Thursdays

11:00 am

Do you enjoy playing Bridge, Gin and Euchre? Join us on Tuesdays for a friendly game of cards, dominoes, etc. A light snack, coffee, and tea are provided.

Walking Club

12:30 pm

Join us for a neighbourhood walk and get active! Sign up and receive a start-up kit which includes a pedometer, water bottle, and other goodies!
