Applegrove is looking for new board members!

Members will be elected at our Annual Meeting on June 12.

We’re looking for people of different backgrounds and experiences who want to share their knowledge, learn, be active in the neighbourhood, and who:

  • Understand and are committed to Applegrove’s mission, vision and values
  • Have knowledge and/or experience that will help to advance our strategic directions
  • Are representative of the diversity in our community and city, and committed to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging

Current recruitment priorities include:  

  • Past or current Applegrove participants (or household members of)
  • Young adults and seniors
  • Expertise in fundraising/philanthropy  
  • Background and knowledge of working with children or youth
  • Background and/or lived experience of seniors’ issues and services

We encourage all candidates who feel a connection to our mission and work to apply. We recognize that structural and systemic barriers shape experiences, qualifications and a sense of capacity. The Board is committed to supporting new members through orientation, training, and mentoring.
