Applegrove Community Complex is a multi-service community organization in southeast Riverdale in Toronto. Our catchment area runs from Jones to Woodbine Avenues and from Lake Ontario north to the Railway tracks.
The centre's main location is in the Duke of Connaught Public School at 60 Woodfield Road. There is a satellite location, The Applegrove Connection (formerly Edgewood), at 31 Eastwood Road (just east of Coxwell), lower level of the Toronto Formosan Presbyterian Church.
The agency was incorporated as a non-profit corporation under the Ontario Corporations Act in 1979, and is registered as a charitable organization with Revenue Canada (10671 8943 RR0001). Applegrove is also an agency of the City of Toronto.
The City covers Applegrove's core administrative expenses (including salaries of office staff, occupancy costs, and office supplies) while the centre raises program funding from a variety of grants and donations. Donors have included federal, provincial and municipal government departments, Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund, the J. P. Bickell Foundation, McLean Foundation, CIBC, Maritime
Life, F K Morrow Foundation, Bank of Montreal, Telus Inc, and the George Lunan Foundation.
